1. Restart Your PS5

Turn off the console completely by holding the power button.

Wait 30 seconds and then power it back on.

Update System Software

Go to Settings > System > System Software > System Software Update and Settings > Update System Software.

Download and install any available updates to fix bugs.

Rebuild Database

Turn off your PS5.

Hold the power button until you hear two beeps (about 7 seconds) to enter Safe Mode.

Connect your controller with a USB cable and press the PS button.

Select Rebuild Database. This scans the drive and fixes corrupted files.

Check Storage Space

Make sure your PS5 has enough free storage. Delete unused games or apps if necessary.

Initialize PS5 (Factory Reset)

If the problem persists, back up your data first (to the cloud or USB).

In Safe Mode, select Initialize PS5 to restore factory settings.

Note: This deletes all data and settings.

Check for Hardware Issues

If crashes continue, it might be a hardware problem. Contact Sony support for repair options.

Those are great ways to fix it.  Restoring the database is typically a solution to most PS5 crashes, although maintaining the storage is equally good as well.
